On 27th February 2009 we said a formal ‘farewell’ to one of the finest bandsman Granite City Brass has ever had within its ranks. Neil Ferguson, will always be remembered for his utter dedication to the band and to banding in general. His warmth, enthusiasm and wonderful soprano playing is also greatly missed.

The Band will be releasing CD entitled "Tribute Music" in memory of Neil and others we have lost in recent years. We have had a Donation of £1,000 which has covered the cost of commissioning the title piece by Kenneth Downie, "Tribute Music". Proceeds from the CD will go to Cancer Research and Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland.
